The following ideas are large ongoing projects, which are ways of getting involved with the community or just keeping a group together.
These projects are 'BIG', needing a lot of effort from a group for an extended period of time. If an idea appeals to you but appears to be too large or complex, don't dismiss it out of hand. You may find there is already a scheme operating in your area supported by the local council or other group, which you and/or your group can join in, or you could link up with other youth groups in your area and work together. Alternatively you could start a similar project with the same ideas, but on a smaller scale.
Some can be achieved easily and on a small scale, choose the type of project that suites your group.
Garden service
This is a relatively simple service orientated project.
The basic idea is that you gather people together and go gardening.
Many people in your community will be unable to attend to there own gardens due to old age, health, or even just time restraints. So why not get together and help people out.
You will need some basic equipment. Gloves old clothes and lots of enthusiasm
