Weddings, Baptism and Funerals
MarriageMarriage is a gift from God and we love to celebrate with those beginning life together. We also like to do what we can to prepare you for the adventure.
Getting married in church is about putting God at the centre of your promises. If you are thinking about marriage, please feel free to contact the Pastor (01934 521642).
As part of our commitment to you we ask all couples to participate in a marriage preparation course that covers the practicalities of married life such as: getting on together; sex; children; finances; conflict; and the ceremony itself.
Baptism and Child DedicationAlong with Baptist churches through the centuries, at WBC we baptise people when they come to a personal faith for themselves. These are great times of celebration and usually are by full immersion in the baptismal at the front of the church.
On the birth of a baby or on the parents' request we have a special service to celebrate the gift of a child. We call this a thanksgiving and dedication service - or infant presentation service.
