Music GroupWorship is the heartbeat of our faith as everything else flows from our love for God. We are so blessed to have able and gifted musicians and worship leaders in our church and while there may not be a huge amount to put in a report like this, it is a chance to thank those who lead us in worship, practice faithfully and prepare so well in the middle of all the different demands of life.
Alistair is now leading the practice nights on Friday evenings to make sure that we use the time creatively and in a way that develops gifts. We try to prepare worship that enables all ages and backgrounds to be involved and a style that draws on a variety of Christian traditions. There is always a long way to go when it comes to worship! It has been great to have Rebecca (flute) join the group. Great to have Nicki writing some Psalms for use in our worship. There is still space for others who want to use their musical gifts to worship God. Have a word with Alistair about this. Thank you also to Ian for the sound and all those on the overhead projector rota who are all part of making it work on a Sunday.
